Recent Meeting...

The July 15 meeting featured Bob Henson, a scientist from UCAR (University Center for Atmospheric Research) and a discussion on climate change. For more information about Bob and a previous talk he delivered on climate change go to

Join us for our regular twice-monthly breakfast meetings at the Crooked Creek

Our meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30AM.



September 2 Breakfast Meeting
Our guest speaker is Michael Turner from local channel 18, RSN Resort TV/Outside Television.

September 16 Lions Picnic

Join us for our annual picnic at the Lions Ponds and Pavilion near Safeway at 5PM. This replaces our normal morning meeting.


October 7 & 21 Breakfast Meetings at "The Creek"

October 7 is a regular meeting with no guest speaker. On October 21, our guest speaker is Eric Murray, public relations manager for the Kremmling hospital. He'll tell us all about the new Granby hospital.


November 4 Breakfast Meeting Features Gary de Frange

Gary will give us our traditional pre-opening update on the latest and greatest at the ski area.

Trailer Enhancement Volunteers Needed

Our new and improved trailer is now in a nice warm, dry barn. Volunteers are needed to spend time in this balmy environment making the necessary modifications and improvements to our trailer. Contact Bud Crawford at 726-5551 to volunteer.

Our Fall 2009 Newsletter is still available online! Go to the Downloads section of this web site's Home Page to see the latest FRVLC Newsletter. Thanks to past Editor-In-Chief Barbara Nissen for another great newsletter! Barbara is retiring as editor. Jill Childress will be working with Peter Kerswell of Kopy Kat and a team of additional (still to be determined) volunteers on our next newsletter. One or two more volunteers are needed to work with Jill and Peter on the Newsletter. Please contact Jill to volunteer.

Our current members come from all walks of Fraser Valley life. We are an inclusive organization and our members need possess only one quality - the desire to serve the community. We carry out our mission though fund raising activities and service projects in the Fraser Valley and the world community. The Fraser River Valley Lions Club itself is not a 501(c)(3) organization, but our charitable giving arm, the Lions Club Foundation of Fraser Valley, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3).

The Lions Club holds breakfast meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Crooked Creek Saloon in Fraser, Colorado beginning at 7:30am. Members are expected to attend meetings as well as to participate in fundraising and service projects. Membership is open by invitation to both men and women. Lions Club has no religious, political or business agenda. Everyone is welcome!
