  • Winter Park 1/2 Marathon, Sat, Jun 29 (sponsorbenefits Shining Stars Foundation) We would need to figure out a split proceeds deal with them if they want food service at the event.  Shining Stars is having a planning meeting in 2 weeks.  You can check it out at www.shiningstarsfoundation.org/events/winter-park-half-marathon.Every other year the Skimeister's Club has their fun day in the mountains.  This would be the summer. I don't have any idea if this will happen yet.

2012 Pancake Review

RECORD WEEKEND PANCAKE SALES
On Saturday and Sunday during the Alpine ArtAffair the Lions pancake trailer set a one-day record + a 2-day weekend record.  Saturday we sold 322 breakfasts and Sunday 260 for a total of 582 breakfasts.  Thanks to all the Lions and friends who worked - Don, Dennis, Rob, Jeff, Steve, Julie, Sheree, Marcia, Claudia, Penny, John, Dawn, Claude, Jim, Dave, Jenna, Sierra, Fran, Howard, Mary Ann, Kirk, Jim, Kelly and Ken.
    Thanks again, Dave Walker

Pancake sales at the Craft Fair August 11 and 12 didn't hit our record-breaking levels reached at the ArtAffair, but we did very well. Dave will have final numbers for posting on the web site shortly.

Thanks to all the Lions and other volunteers who helped us sell so many pancakes this summer and to everyone who bought pancakes. Selling pancakes is just one of the ways the Fraser River Valley Lions Club raises money to provide funding to our scholarship programs, annual grants and to support our vision and eyeglass programs. All the money we raise through our work stays in the valley to support our community. For more information about the non-profits we support, please see the Foundation

tab on this web site. Our pancake trailer has been put to bed for the season and will be brought out again in the spring at our 2013 Golf Tournament.
