Lions motto: “We serve”
The Lions Club Foundation of Fraser Valley, Inc is the charitable giving arm of the Fraser River Valley Lions Club, and a 501(c) (3) corporation. The Fraser River Valley Lions Club is a service organization that gives 100% of the money we raise back to the community, primarily through the Foundation. We raise money by our activities including pancake breakfasts, managing the local Forest Service campgrounds and other work, rather than asking for donations. Our Club is not political, religious or oriented to business. We’re simply dedicated to helping our community.
The Fraser River Valley Lions Club, through the Foundation, gives thousands of dollars each year in scholarships to local students. We built the Lions Pavilion next to the Lions Ponds (which we stock with trout) near Safeway. Lions Club was the primary fundraiser for the Eisenhower Sculpture in Fraser, and we fund maintenance of the Sculpture and grounds. Every year we organize and operate the 9Health Fair.
Here are some of the Grand County organizations we are supporting financially in 2012. You can click on the included links to go directly to many of the organization's web sites.
