The Fraser River Valley Lions Club is a service organization that gives 100% of the money we raise back to the community. All our officers, committee members, the web master and general membership are unpaid volunteers. We raise money primarily by our activities including pancake breakfasts, managing the local Forest Service campgrounds, volunteering at the ski resort and for the Chamber of Commerce and other work, rather than asking for contributions. The Club is not political, religious or oriented to business; we’re simply dedicated to helping our community. Our local club has over 100 men and women dedicated to serving our community. The Fraser River Valley Lions Club is the local branch of the world’s largest service organization, Lions Clubs International, which has 1.35 million members in over 200 countries. Our local Lions Club here in Grand County, Colorado gives thousands of dollars each year in scholarships to local students. We paid for, and provided much of the labor to build, the Lions Pavilion next to the Lions Ponds (which we stock with trout) near Safeway in Fraser. We’ve also given thousands of dollars to numerous Grand County organizations including local Boy and Girl Scout programs, the Mountain Family Center, Heart of the Mountain Hospice, the Grand County Historical Association, the East Grand County School District and many more local organizations. We provide free eyeglasses and vision exams for those in need, and much, much more.

The Fraser River Valley Lions Club is not an expensive or exclusive club. We know it is an inexpensive and inclusive club and invite everyone who shares our commitment to community service and a desire to have some fun along the way to join us.

If you want to be more involved with our community and meet some really great people, we would love to have you join us. Please contact our membership chair or you can fill out our membership application located at the top of this page:  [contact-form-7 id=”7012″ title=”Membership Information”] You are always invited to come to one of our breakfast meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month (with a few rare exceptions) at 7:30 AM at Carvers in Winter Park to get a taste of what our club is about.
